Organic. 100% Vermentino (Favorita del Roero). Favorita is Piedmont's name for Vermentino, the only continental-climate version of this popular grape. Hand harvested and ultimately cryomacerated for 8-10 hours with malolactic fermentation being absent. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at 15 degrees and then matured in stainless steel tanks for 3-4 months “sur lies”.
Organic. 100% Arneis. The battlehorse of the estate, this Roero Arneis comes exclusively from the unique sandy soils of central Roero. Despite being the entry-level cuvee of the estate, it is a single-vineyard bottling. Hand harvested and ultimately 20% cryomacerated for 8-10 hours with malolactic fermentation being absent. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at 15-17 degrees and then matured in stainless steel tanks for minimum 4 months “sur lies” with “battonage”.
Organic. 100% Arneis. Roero Arneis bottled raw before its final filtration. Hand harvested and ultimately cryo-macerated for 8-10 hours. Fermented with native yeast in stainless steel. Matured in stainless steel for 4+ months on the lees with regular battonage. Bottling is unfiltered and unfined.
Organic. 100% Arneis. Dating back to the inception of the estate in 1670, this vineyard was named in honor of Audino, the first Angelo Negro's father. A remarkable expression of Arneis from 50-year-old vines. Hand harvested with no maceration and direct pressing of the grapes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 15-17 degrees. Matured in stainless steel tanks for 7 months “sur lies” with “batonnage” plus 12 months in bottle.
Organic. 100% Nebbiolo. A classic Langhe Nebbiolo fermented and aged in stainless steel, this wine benefits from the bright-red cherry fruit and fine tannin characteristics of the Roero's sandy soils. Hand harvested and ultimately macerated in stainless steel tanks with traditional floating-cap for 15-18 days. Maturation takes place for 12 months.
Organic. 100% Nebbiolo. Part of the estate's footprint since its founding, the Prachiosso vineyard dates back over 1000 years as chronicled in church records. Hand harvested and ultimately utilizing traditional maceration with floating cap for 18 days. Maturation takes place for 20 months, between oak barrel and bottle.
Organic. 100% Nebbiolo. One of Barbaresco's notable crus in the Neive township, Angelo Negro's Basarin is made in the traditional large 25HL casks and features all the classic characteristics of Nebbiolo while still maintaining Negro’s characteristic style. Hand harvested and ultimately utilizing traditional maceration, with floating cap for more than 20 days. Maturation takes place for 26 months between Slavonian oak barrels and bottles.
Organic. 100% Brachetto. Brachetto vinifed fully dry and bottled raw without filtration. Cryo-macerated for 24 hours and fermented with native yeast in stainless steel and floating cap for 10 days. Matured in stainless steel for 5+ months on the lees of Arneis with regular battonage. Bottling is unfiltered and unfined.
Organic. 100% Arneis. Planted on calcareous soil – sandy, rich of fossil shells. Hand harvested in September. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at 17 degrees. Maturation in stainless steel tanks “sur lies” with “battonage” for 7 months minimum. Straw yellow color, with intense golden highlights. Citrus bouquet beginning reminds hazelnuts and anise, hints of peach delicate after smell, ripe pears and saffron. Immediately warm palate, followed by a good acid note that brings us to an intricate and developing mineral texture and finishes with sapid taste.
Organic. 100% Bragat rosa (Brachetto del Roero). Produced in Roero at an altitude of 200-280 meters above sea level. Sun exposure radiates from the south and south-west. The soil is calcareous and sandy with a Guyot breeding system. Hand harvested and macerated at low temperature for 24 hours with alcoholic maceration taking place in autoclave. Matured in stainless steel tanks.
